A social gathering of indigenes of the Volta region, dubbed ‘No.9 LinkUp’, is set to come off this Saturday, July 8, 2017 in Ho, the regional capital.
The event, which is the first of its kind, will see citizens of the ‘Number 9’ region, converge within the lush green ambience of the Parks and Gardens Department, to relish the unique socio-cultural diversity of Ghana’s longest region.
A brainchild of Ho based events management outfit, Aces Media Alliance (AMA), the #No9LinkUp seeks to connect Voltarians from all walks of life in an environment of indigenous foods, drinks and music; whiles promoting budding local businesses.
The outdoor event, would also showcase the rich and unique socio-cultural identities of the various ethnic groups in the region, from the sandy coast of Keta through the forest hills of Amedzofe to the savanna peninsula of Keta Krachi.
Patrons are expected to proudly represent their towns and communities in customized shirts and caps, whiles exchanging ideas on how to harness the region’s numerous potentials for accelerated growth.
The organizers are optimistic that the #No9LinkUp, which would be an annual event would be a rallying point for various professional networks of Voltarians to turn around the fortunes of the region.
