The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ho has held an open day to provide insights into programmes on offer at the University to Senior High School students.

The event was also held to provide guidance to Senior High School graduates who might want to pursue courses at the University in the next academic year.

Professor John Owusu Gyapong, Vice Chancellor of the University, said UHAS was consolidating gains made in the past five years and urged students interested in offering courses in the University to grab the opportunity.

He said the main challenge of the University was infrastructure adding that it is being addressed to “provide quality education, advance knowledge through scholarship and research that improves health and quality of life.”

Prof Owusu Gyapong said with the necessary support from government, UHAS would achieve its vision of being the pre-eminent health research educational institution dedicated to community service adding that the University would not divert from its mandate as a health and allied sciences institution.
